Partial testicular infarct with hydrocele

Power Doppler ultrasound shows a geographic area of low echogenicity in the medial mid to lower testicular area with absent blood flow (area surrounded by arrows). The speckle of color identified in the area of concern is likely artifactual. Power Doppler is more sensitive for detection of flow. However power Doppler cannot calculate flow direction. Also noticed is a small hydrocele (asterisk).
