Aortic aneurysm
• Thoracic aortic aneurysm
• Prominence of aortic arch and/or descending aorta
• Can often not be distinguished from dissection – clinical history & symptoms important (trauma, acute chest pain)
• CT confirms in this case a partially thrombosed aortic aneurysm (right bottom: axial oblique reformatted CT)
