Diagnosis: Venous sinus thrombosis - on non enhanced CT, MRI and MRV
Noncontrast CT shows high density material throughout the superior sagittal sinus, right transverse sinus and right sigmoid sinus (arrows in A-C), compatible with acute thrombus. MRI (gradient echo, D) demonstrates markedly abnormal signal within the cortical veins over frontal and parietal convexities bilaterally as well as within superior sagittal sinus, consistent with extensive thrombus. MR venogram (E) shows total absence of signal within the superior sagittal sinus (total occlusion) and diminutive flow within the right transverse sinus (arrows in E).
